Experience

Allison has been at the helm of The Focus Group as its strategic and creative leader since 2011. Since then the company has grown from having a few local clients to a portfolio of clients across the U.S. Under her leadership the company has evolved into a full-service marketing firm focused on results and ROI for clients.

She is involved on the business development side while overseeing the strategic and creative output of the company. She stays involved in the day-to-day to keep her skills sharp, develop employees and provide guidance and keep the company a step ahead of its competition. On top of bigger picture direction, she is a skilled writer and strategic and creative thinker who enjoys developing the team, she is well-versed in research, content strategy, social and digital media, integrated marketing, public relations, events and more.

While away for a 19-month role as CEO of New Media Lab in Oxford, Mississippi, parent company of HottyToddy.com (24/7 digital news organization) and Experience Oxford Magazine, Allison gained invaluable experience in the latest digital and content strategies.

Prior to joining The Focus Group, Allison owned and operated marketing communications firm Buchanan Group. She also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Mississippi capstone “Campaigns” class in the Integrated Marketing Communications program in 2016 in the School of Journalism & New Media and has served eight years on the Biloxi School Board.
