The Focus Group Wins 22 Addy Awards

4 Gold Awards + 14 Silver Awards + 2 “Judges Choice” Awards

+ The “Mosaic Addy” + Creative Director of the Year

GULFPORT, MS February 25, 2022 – The Focus Group – full-service strategic marketing, advertising and PR firm based in Mississippi – continues to be recognized for work developed on behalf of clients. This time it was the Gulf Coast Advertising Federation Addy Awards for work created during 2021.

Haley Miles: Creative Director of the Year

In addition to team member Haley Miles receiving the prestigious overall “Creative Director of the Year” award, highlighted below is a summary of the awards along with links to some of the award-winning work.

The Focus Group was honored to not only work with the Mississippi Department of Mental Health to create the “Put Your Foot Down, Mississippi” campaign to call for citizens to take steps toward ending the HIV/AIDS crisis in our state, but also to receive a Gold Award for the website created for the campaign linked here. The Focus Group also received a Gold “Mosaic Addy” Award – a special award for one piece of advertising that demonstrates a brand’s commitment to diversity, inclusion and equality – for “Cross Platform Integrated Branded Content Campaign” for its work on the overall “Put Your Foot Down” HIV/AIDS campaign alongside Silver Awards for “Logo Design,” “Brochure” and “Poster.”

The Focus Group is proud of all the work done for the Brice Wiggins for Congress campaign and is just as proud to have won a Gold Award for Wiggins’ Congressional launch video and a Silver Award for the “Website” both linked here. The TFG team also won silver awards for the Brice Wiggins for Congress overall “Cross Platform Integrated Branded Content Campaign,” and for “Copywriting” for the Congressional launch video script.

For Uniform Locker, The Focus Group won a Gold Award in “Logo Design” for the uniform company’s brand-new logo. “Judge’s Choice Awards” were given to The Focus Group in “Microsites” and “Out-of-Home & Ambient Media: Outdoor Board” respectively for the Harrison County Development Commission’s “It All Flows Here” microsite and the Greenwood Convention and Visitors Bureau Mural.

Finally, The Focus Group won Silver Awards for the following:

  • “Logo Design” – The Club at Diamondhead
  • “Internet Commercial: Single Spot” – Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks linked here

  • “Social Media” – Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks “Shooting Range” Campaign
  • “Internet Commercial: Single Spot” – Innovation Institute for Fan Experience “Xperience Consortium” Video linked here

The Focus Group’s 2021 Addy awards recognized a wide variety of work for a broad client base. Work was recognized in social media, websites, writing, digital advertising, video, print advertising, TV/internet commercials, copywriting, integrated branding campaigns and more. The client based ranged from awareness campaigns to political promotion.
